Exciting things are happening for youth in Conroe and the surrounding area, and we want you to be part of the excitement!

The City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department will be building a new facility that will include an Olympic size pool and diving well. This letter is to help secure much needed funding for the diving well project, specifically, a 3-meter board and a 3 & 5 meter platform. The cost of these additional items is estimated at $100,000. Of course the time is now; before and during construction to add these projects, not after completion of the pool facility.

Who, besides the children make this project worthwhile? Bill Travis. Bill is the Director of Diving, and the head diving coach. He is a 2 time National Diving Champion, 2 time U.S. national Team Diving Coach, and former NCAA Champion. His dedication to children’s diving programs over the past 20 years have resulted in several National and International champions. Bill’s resume is enclosed in this packet.

The Conroe Diving Club is part of the non-profit Conroe Parks and Recreation Department 501 c (3), so your contribution is completely tax-deductible. It’s a win/win, and a great way to show your support for the community and it’s youth.

There are several levels of sponsorship, and we have enclosed the listing for your convenience. Our supporting companies and individuals will be posted on the the Conroe Diving Club website as an additional way to say "Thank you”.

Several items are enclosed in this packet for your review and consideration, including the mission statement of the Parks and Recreation department, and the Conroe Diving Club. We will continue to keep you informed of upcoming dates and activities as this projects moves towards completion in the next six-to-nine months. We can’t wait!
